Summary
D-Day was an allied attack on the Normandy beaches: juno, sword, gold, omaha and utah. It was a huge turning point in WW11 and Rommel felt that whoever won this, would win the war. This was the allies all or nothing moment in the war. If the allies did not get the beach head then that would have given the Germans enough time to regather and strengthen their defences. D-day was the biggest sacrifice and the largest land battle ever planned.
