Subjunctive Question
How would the outcome of Russia been different had the Tsar not been abdicated
Interesting fact
Nicholas was related to several monarchs in Europe. His mother's siblings included Kings Frederik VIII of Denmark and George I of Greece as well as the United Kingdom's Queen Alexandra (consort of King Edward VII).
Summary
Nicholas was crowned on May the 2nd, 1894. He wasn't trained or either inclined to rule, which didn't help the autocracy he sought to preserve in an era desperate for change.During the February Revolution, Czar Nicholas II, ruler of Russia since 1894, was forced to abdicate the throne by the Petrograd insurgents, and a provincial government was installed in his place.
